Rainfall and Temperature Data 1977-2010

A local farmer, the late Justin Mallinson, kept daily rainfall records at Bredy Farm on the edge of the village of Burton Bradstock from 1985 to 2004. Over much the same period, from 1977 to 2010 rainfall records and maximum and minimum daily temperature records were kept by the late John Ingram, who lived in the centre of the village.

The two sets of rainfall records have been consolidated to show the actual and 5-year rolling average rainfall for each year and for each month by year. For those years where we have records from both contributors, their monthly values have been averaged. All rainfall figures are in mm.

Graphs are also available showing the actual maximum and minimum temperatures in Fahrenheit for each month by year.

These records will enable you to see how the rainfall and temperatures have varied over the years for any particular month.
